VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Barnes County officials are reminding residents to get your ditches mowed before October 1st of 2019.

Highway Roads Superintendent Kerry Johnson said hay bales must be removed by October 1st as well so they won’t create a snow problem. He said the deadline was moved up this year after a heavy snowfall hit the region on October 10th of 2018.

Johnson said failure to comply will result in the cost of mowing or hay bale removal being charged to the Barnes County Landowner.
