JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System will be looking into improvements and their costs at the Stutsman County Library.

Library Director Joe Rector came before the Stutsman County Commission Tuesday to inform them of their intentions to investigate bids for improvements to the library.

Because the library is rented out through the county, Rector stated they needed the permission of the board to pursue some of the upgrades they were looking at.

Rector says they would replace the wood with drywall, paint it and texture it. He says they may have to replace the drop ceiling if that’s the direction they went with.

Rector says all the upgrades would be covered through the library’s budget and they would not require any funds from the county.

Commissioner Ramone Gumke sits on the library board.

The commission unanimously approved with Commissioner Steve Cichos absent.
