JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two campers and one semi were overturned on I-94 Monday following severe storms that rolled through the area.
Winds reportedly reached up to 80 mph with heavy rainfall, causing reduced visibility and hazardous conditions for travel in the James River Valley.
North Dakota Highway Patrol and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene roughly 7 miles west of Jamestown. One camper had pulled off of the interstate onto Exit 248 to wait for the storm to pass.
“We were waiting when the wind picked up and tipped us over,” the driver stated. “We are all okay.”
Another camper waiting for the storm to pass was attempting to situate themselves to better handle the storm before they tipped.
“I blinked and as soon as I knew it, we were tipping over,” the passenger stated.
No one was reportedly injured.
No information has been given on the semi that overturned on I-94.
