CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Upcycled junk and more will be the highlight of the 15th Annual JunkFest and Vintage Flea Market in Carrington on Saturday, September 7th.
Taking “junk” and creating art or other useful items out of them has become a growing trend. The junkfest bug bit Missy Hafner and her friends some years back.
Hafner says it didn’t take long for the event to grow in Carrington.
Hafner says at 9 AM sharp, they’ll open the gates to the JunkFest & Flea Market at the Foster County Fairgrounds. She says early birds will have the chance to pay and wait inside a designated area to scout out some of the items available.
Hafner invites everyone out to the event Saturday. She says people are encouraged to bring a trailer because there’s sure to be something there for everyone.
A group will be raising funds by watching items for those shopping at the event. More than 120 vendors will be on hand. There will also be free music and food on site.
You can visit the JunkFest Facebook page for more information.
