JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The final Jamestown Downtown Arts Market of 2019 went out with a bang Thursday evening.
The community program has been held from 5:30 to 8:30 each Thursday over the summer and featured food, art, vendors, music and more.
A big highlight of the evening was the Zot Artz adaptive tools. The tools were developed and created by Dwayne Szot. He says his inspiration for the tools was his own experience with a foster brother and sister who had Cerebral Palsy.
Szot’s education focused on art, starting starting with commercial and graphic art in high school. He later received his masters degree in fine art from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
He says art is the best way for everyone to make their mark.
Szot says the adaptive art tools allows anyone to create art.
Kids of any ability were invited to use a large canvas set in front of the Jamestown Arts Center and create one, big art piece.
