BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s a big day for archery deer hunters across the state.

Today marks the open for archery deer season in North Dakota, which begins at Noon today, August 30th. Game & Fish Wildlife Outreach Biologist Doug Leier encourages hunters to get everything in order before heading out.

Leier says hunters may be traveling to different units and need to keep big game transportation guidelines in mind.

Leier encourages all hunters to take time and review those rules and regulations.

The archery deer season continues through January 5th, 2020.

Another season opens this weekend; Dove season.

You can find all rules, regulations, and information online at www.gf.nd.gov.

Listen to Doug Leier each Thursday morning at 7:35 AM on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM with JD in the Morning.
