VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Boy Scouts Daryl Nelson and Noah Cabezas were honored and thrilled to attend the World Scout Jamboree held last month at Summit Betchel Reserve in West Virginia.

Cabezas said the experience and interaction with so many scouts from more so many countries was incredible. He was our guest on our Voice of the Valley. He gave Steve Urness a few more details about the World Scout Jamboree.

Just like a presidential election, the World Scout Jamboree is held every four years. The last time the Jamboree was held in America was back in 1967 at Farragut State Park some 30 miles northeast of Coeur d-Alene, Idaho. The next Jamboree will be held in North Korea in 2023.
