JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A unique, rare opportunity is coming to the Frontier Village this Saturday, August 31st.
The Frontier Village Post Office will be hosting a stamp cancellation from 2 PM to 6 PM. The cancellation will include the date and post office location where the stamps were mailed in addition to lines or bars designed to cover the stamp itself.
“We want to do this more often,” Tina Busche stated. “What we’re trying to do is bring out post office to life. We are in the process of getting mail out there and host a once a year stamp cancellation event.”
Busche says they’ll also feature their very own stamp. She says a cancellation will allow individuals to keep their postcards and mail as souvenirs.
“We’ve been wanting to do it for quite some time. Board President Nicole Moslof has been able to establish a physical address for a mailbox there.”
Everyone is welcome to bring their items for stamp cancellation at the post office at the Frontier Village.
