JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 55th Annual JFAA Art Show has returned to the Jamestown Arts Center.
The long-running exhibit used to be a Spring show, but was moved to the fall to give school children more opportunity to visit the gallery.
Art Center Executive Director Mindi Schmitz says the amount of works they have features all different mediums.
Some pieces in the exhibit include painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramic process and glass work.
It’s a juried show, so there are different winners in each category.
“With so much variety on display, the students can see a broad range of art forms all in one place and the exhibition offers what we call a ‘teaching moment’,” the Arts Center states. “We encourage teachers arrange a tour, we welcome student visits, not only this exhibition, but anytime throughout the year.”
The exhibit will be available for viewing through September 21st at the Jamestown Arts Center.
