VALLEY CITY, ND ( NewsDakota.com) – There will be no repeating as champions for this group of former Bison football players.

The Alcobolics, the 2018 Champions of the Wiffle Ball World Series were defeated by the 37 For Life team in the championship this year.

The Alcobolics were made up of former Bison football players Cole Jirik, Colton Heagle, Esley Thornton and Ben LeCompte.

The 37 For Life team members were Justin Thornton (Tournament MVP), Brady Anderson, Chases Carpenter, Josh Lagein and LC Kjelland. It was a special win for the 37 For Life, they were playing in honor of Chase Carpenter’s father Jeff who passed away unexpectedly in May.

The Wiffle Ball World Series raised over $2,000 for the Jeromy Brown Family Fund, this year’s charity. Jeromy is the cousin of Pat Bresnahan, one of the founding members of the WBWS.

Congratulations to 37 For Life on the 2019 Championship. And remember it is very difficult to repeat.
