Minneapolis, MN (NewsDakota.com)–Welcome to Target Field, otherwise known as Wrigley Northwest this weekend, where the Minnesota Twins are entertaining the Chicago Cubs and over 50 baseball fans on the Ingstad Family Media/Budweiser Twins-Cubs Fun Bus.
The fans boarded the bus bright and early at 6:00 a.m. in Jamestown Saturday, then in Valley City a half hour later. The bus became a full sellout with the acquision of a final fan in Fargo.

the bus started in Twins Territory, the occupants were of truly mixed affiliations.

The fans came from near and far to board the bus.

Some fans came without a “dog in the fight”, just to see Target Field and join the fun. Danny Corbin of Valley City, pictured below on the left, is a longtime Arizona and Washington fan, bought purchased a Twins hat to “root with the people around me.” Cory Borg of Valley City, pictured on the right below, is a lifelong Dodgers fan, and rooted for the Cubs, since they were the National League team in the games.

Target Field yielded some surprises Saturday and Sunday, as a larger-than-expected portion of the fans in attendance wore Chicago Cubs attire.

“A House Divided” was a common theme at the games this weekend.

Even the workers did their part to mix things up. A worker at the Saturday Smokey Bear Can Couzee giveaway wore a Twins shirt, but a Cubs hat, saying, “They didn’t let me. I just did it.”

The Twins used a huge fourth inning to win 11-3 Saturday. The Cubs won 8-2 Sunday.
Fans on the bus received a game ticket for both games, snacks and beverages on the bus ride, an overnight stay, and a tee-shirt that some fans actually offered to buy from fun bus riders. The shirts said “Twins, Cubs, Still Fans” in honor of the less-than-stellar seasons both teams have had.
The bus also had one New York Yankees fan that, reportedly, with the blessing of the Yankees, tried to buy the bus, the field, and the three best players at the games for use by his favorite team.
