JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Boondocks owner Julie Michel knows the battle against cancer all too well.
But, she says their first ever 5K and Barn Dance is not about her.
The 1st Annual Farming for a Cure event has been set at the Boondocks to raise money for the newly opened JRMC Cancer Center.
The event is for all cancers, people of all ages, and from every walk of life. Amanda Rode says individuals can participate in either event or both.
Rode says they’ll also have a petting zoo, cornhole, food and more throughout the day.
Michel says the event is important because it will support cancer care close to home.
There will be shuttle service available to and from the location all day and evening.
Participants are asked to pre-register at Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop or online at Eventbrite. For more information, you can contact Amanda Rode at 701-320-8103.
