JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Newsdakota.com) – Michael Hallquist hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning liting the Fargo Jets to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Jamestown in Legion baseball Monday afternoon at Jack Brown Stadium.
Jamestown tool the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning with two runs. Ethan McKenney drove in Isaac Mimong with a single and Aaron Kleven scored McKenney with a double.
Fargo scored in the third and sixth innings on errors.
Jamestown tied the game at one in the third on Max Anderson’s rbi single.
Chris Erickson and McKenney each had two hits for Post 14. Aaron Kleven allowed just two hits and one unearned run in five innings of work. He walked three and struckout one. Erickson took the loss in relief allowing three hits, three runs,two earned in two innings.
In game two, Fargo scored nine runs in the first inning and never looked back for a 20-7 win.
Michael Hallquist’s bases loaded triple was the highlight in the inning for the Jets.
Kohl Kratz drove in a run with a double in the third. Chris Erickson drove in two in the fourth with a single. Three runs scored on wild pitches in the fifth to make it 14-7. But Fargo put the game away with a six run sixth inning.
Kratz and Erickson had two hits each for Jamestown. Post 14 is now 8-8 on the season. They are off until Monday when they turn around and play the Jets in Fargo.
