JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A local non-profit is in need of certain items as they continue to prepare to provide their unique services to the region.
“A Moment of Freedom” is a non-profit organization located in Buchanan, North Dakota. The group is continuing to work on creating the riding program for those with special needs.
Currently, they are looking for several items to help them out. This includes horse supplies like tack, saddles, halters, bridles, and lead ropes. Other needed donations include Bridle Racks & Saddle Racks, Hay, Arena Implementation equipment, and arena equipment.
“Hula hoops would be great too,” Founder Annie Keffeler states. “We will have our riders throw stuffed animals into hula hoops for coordination and such. Same with the mailbox. It’s great for them to stretch and use their muscles to lean and put mail in and out. The riders have to lineup their horse to do the task.”
A fundraiser has also been set for Saturday, August 24th at the Stutsman County Fair Grounds. There will be food, music, dancing, raffles, and more.
