VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Education Foundation for the Valley City Public Schools is kicking off a raffle ticket fundraiser that will raise funds to support Access for All, VCPS Speech Team and Classroom Enhancement Grants. Through the Hi-Liner Raffle, they have set a goal to sell 2500 tickets at $20/ticket to raise $50,000. People who buy a ticket will have a chance to win one of twelve $1,000 cash prizes. Drawing will be held October 4, 2019 at Halftime of the Homecoming Football Game.
Two of these programs are facilitated through the Education Foundation. They are Access for All and Classroom Enhancement Grants. Funds raised for Access for All will continue their efforts of meeting the mental/behavioral health needs of all Valley City Public School students. A licensed, professional counselor is available weekly in the schools to provide services. Funds raised for Classroom Enhancement Grants will go to support new and innovative ideas that enhance the experiences for all VCPS students.
The Education Foundation has partnered with the VCHS Speech Team for this fundraiser. Funds will be awarded to the Speech Team to support their ongoing hard work and successes. If anyone is interested in more information or purchasing a ticket, they can contact any Speech Team student or call Shari Larson at 701-845-0483, Ext 1.
