VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The future of the recycling center in Valley City is up for discussion. The owner of Valley Recycling Adam Faul gave a new business proposal to city officials during a city commission meeting on Tuesday.

Mayor Dave Carlsrud said a special committee will meet Friday, May 24th to discuss their options before making a final decision.

Faul told the city he has taken a heavy financial loss over the last year as he battles the low prices of recycling materiel.

In March, the city received a notification that he planned to shut down the center on June 17. Again nothing has been finalized and several options are still under discussion.
