JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A very successful first year of the Jamestown Downtown Arts Market has lead to a return this summer.

The Jamestown Arts Center will be holding the market once more beginning June 6th and running through the summer. Each Thursday, the park will be filled with things to do for everyone.

Jamestown Arts Center Executive Director Mindi Schmitz says in 2018, they had received a grant that helped pay for a majority of the event. This year, they are left seeking sponsorships and volunteers to keep the free Arts Market going.

Schmitz says they’ve already got their schedule completed and ready to go. June will be “Cultural Kaleidoscope” and features West African Drumming, East Indian Dancing and more.

The market will wrap up on August 29th.

Schmitz also says beginning June 6th will be their summer camps for kids.
