JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown will act as a sponsoring government for the Community Development Block Grant, which will be funding part of Journey Behavioral Solutions, LLC in the community.

Journey Behavioral Solutions, LLC is a licenses Developmental Disabilities provider in the state.

President Shawlee Iverson says they’ll also provide autism services including skill based therapy and developmental services to kids who may not be able to find it elsewhere.

The Community Development Block Grant fund will be managed by the South Central Dakota Regional Council. The funds run through the city’s bank account from the State of North Dakota. The city will write a check to Journey Behavioral for the same amount deposited by the state.

The city will not be responsible for funding of the project.
