JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Humane Society has returned their feral cat program to relocate feral cats to a safer environment in the area.
Board member Jay Nitchke says the volunteer-based, no kill shelter started the program in 2018 and had a lot of success.
Nitchke says the program is pretty straightforward.
Nitchke says where the program needs help is donations and locations the feral cats can be relocated to. The service cuts down on the cat population and provides a safe place for them to be.
If you’d like to make a donation to the program or can take some feral cats, you’re encouraged to call 701-252-0747 or visit jamesriverhumanesociety.org.
Another James River Humane Society fundraiser will take place at the Pizza Ranch on May 13th. All funds will benefit the society and their operation.
Nitchke says volunteers are always welcome to help out at the shelter and donations of food, cleaning supplies and animal supplies can be brought to the shelter or dropped off collection boxes.
