Charlotte Marie (Geinert) Morgan passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 67 in the home of her daughter, Michelle Morgan Monk, in Fairhope, AL after a long fight with cancer. Charlotte was born on September 8, 1951 and raised by her parents Roy, deceased, and Helen (Pratschner) Geinert on their family farm in Nortonville, ND. Charlotte married Michael Joseph Morgan, deceased, on November 21, 1975 in Seoul, Korea during their service in the Army. She attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND to earn her nursing degree and a Master’s degree in education. Charlotte served her community as a Registered Nurse and also as an educator to future nurses at various colleges. Charlotte continued her service to our country to the Army National Guard Reserves Nurse Corps and retired as a Colonel in 2011. She is survived by her two daughters and their families: Dr. Heidi Kathleen (Morgan) Barker and her husband Bruce Barker, along with their two children Jack Michael, 5, and Charley Kathleen, 18 months; Michelle Joan (Morgan) Monk and her husband Ben Monk, along with their two children Daniel Reid, 9, and John Aidan, 5. Charlotte also has 7 siblings living, Julie Albertson, Michael Geinert, Jeffrey Geinert, Jean Knutson, Timothy Geinert, Barbara Batson, and Stephanie Onsgard; along with 1 deceased sibling, Marceen Klosterman. Her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews too numerous to name. Charlotte loved her family and friends with strong faith, compassion, and generosity.
Services for Charlotte will be held at the Catholic Church of the Transfiguration in Edgeley, ND, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10am.
