BISMARCK, N.D. (UJ) – Governor Doug Burgum signed HB 1384 which expands the Private Education Tax Credit to individuals and increases the cap from 20% to 25% of the taxpayers’ income tax, up to $2500 for contributions made to private schools in North Dakota.

“We appreciate the support we received from our local legislators, Senator Terry Wanzek, Senator John Grabinger, Representatives Chet Pollert, Jim Grueneich, Bernie Satrom, and Craig Headland and to bill sponsor Senator Nethe,” stated University of Jamestown President Polly Peterson. “Thank you for recognizing the economic contribution that private education makes to the state of North Dakota and the community of Jamestown.”
