MINNEAPOLIS, MN (NewsDakota.com) – Cory Meyer continues to recover from severe burns he suffered over 25-percent of his body during an explosion at his rural residence earlier this month in Barnes County.
Meyer was transported to a burn unit in Minneapolis and continues to make good progress following several skin graft surgeries.
Clint Meyer said his brother is in good spirits and will start physical therapy. He said the therapy could last four weeks or longer depending on his response.
On Thursday, April 25th Valley City students raised $1,889 dollars during cap day. The students donated $2 or more to benefit the Cory Meyer family.
So far, more than $30-thousand dollars has been raised for the family to help defray medical costs through fundraisers like this as well as an account at Dacotah Bank in Valley City and A Go Fund Me account on FaceBook. The Meyer family is so thankful for your prayers and your generous donations.
The Hennepin County Fire Department is providing free lodging to Corey Meyer’s parents while he recovers in the Minneapolis burn unit.
