STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Senior Brandon Larson hit a solo home run for Carrington in the top of the seventh as the Cardinals come from behind to defeat the Wolves of Kidder County on Tuesday night 7-2. Carrington improves to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 3, KC drops to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in Region 3.

The Wolves scored one run in the bottom of the first inning, Carrington came back and scored two runs in the top of the second, the Wolves would tie the contest in the bottom of the second but that would be the last run of the ballgame for KC, as Carrington scored the next five runs of the Region 3 High School Baseball game at Pirate Field. Lucas Geiszler picks up the win on the mound working five and one-third innings with five strikeouts, Drew Page worked in relief for two and two-thirds. KC used three pitchers, taking the loss was Sophomore starter Blake Pfaff. Larson was 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI, he was a triple away from the cycle. For KC, Jayden Rath and Gage Pfaff had three hits each.

Next up for Carrington will be on Friday in Carrington against Rugby at 12:45p and Langdon at 5:15pm.  AM 1600/FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com will have both games.
