VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Minnesota State University Moorhead hosted The NCAA Wrestling DII Region V Super Regionals last Saturday. The Dragons has 2 advance on to the national tournament, one was former Valley City High School standout Jordan Magnuson.
Wrestling at 285, Magnuson advanced to the region championship match. After a bye in the opening round, he edged Joseph Foret of Wisconsin-Parkside 3-2 and beat Harrison Townsend from Northern State 3-1 in the semifinals. In the title match he was defeated by Jordan Will of Minot State 4-1.
Joining Magnuson at the national tournament will be teammate Cole Jones. Jones placed 3rd at 125. The NCAA DII National Wrestling Tournament runs March 8th and 9th in Cleveland.
