JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – March 1st brings the hope of Springtime soon.
It also brings closer the date for residents in the state to remove their ice houses from state waters.
Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier reports that while it doesn’t look or feel like Spring at the moment, there’s plenty of Spring topics at the forefront including Spring turkey season.

Leier says snow goose season also kicked off last Saturday.

Leier says those things include a new Harvest Information Program (HIP) number. He encourages everyone to take care of that right now to get ahead of the season.
Leier also says the deadline to remove permanent ice structures from the ice will be March 15th.

Fish houses may be used after March 15 if they are removed daily.
