ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell is calling for assistance plowing out some roads around the county.
“Drifts from a ½ mile long are routine in some areas,” Russell stated. “Some are 10 feet tall in the north county. Plows and blades cannot keep these open.”
Russell says they have put a call out on Facebook and have had response from farmers to contract and keep the problem areas open by using huge snow blowers. He says now, they’re seeking more to be dispersed in certain areas of the county.
“It is not cost or time effective to drive from state line road to the Glover road and back,” Russell stated.
Russell says people are encouraged to help or contact others if they are able to help. You can contact Jhagen@nd.gov.
