ENDERLIN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Enderlin Eagles started their playoff run with an 84-67 victory over the Tri-State Tigers.
Offense was not scarce on Tuesday night. There were three scorers who had at least 20 points and five with double digits between the two teams.
After the first quarter, Enderlin jumped out to an 8 point lead, but it was the 2nd quarter that propelled the Eagles to a big victory. Enderlin outscored Tri-State 23-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 19 point lead into the break. It seemed that no matter what the Eagles tossed up, it found the net.
Chance Bye scored 12 points in the 2nd quarter alone and would finish with 21 points. He was the second leading scorer behind Joe Hurlburt’s 27 points and 3 made 3-pointers.
Tri-State’s leading scorer was Micah Christensen with a game-high 30 points.
Enderlin will play Kindred in the quarterfinals Monday at 6pm at The SHAC in Fargo.
