Indians and Rockets Will Meet Again in the D7 Boys Championship on Monday

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2019 Class B District 7 Boys Basketball Tournament continued on Saturday with another three games, here are the results:
Warwick 59 Harvey/Wells County 53 (elimination game)
The Warriors led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter, but the Hornets outscored the Warriors 24-16 the next two quarters to take the lead 38-37 at the end of the third. Warwick had a big fourth quarter scoring 22 points to get the win. Senior Eric Belgarde led all scorers with 23 points, including seven 3-pointers for the Warriors. Belgarde had 14 points in the fourth quarter, four treys. HWC was led by Junior Walker Koropatnicki with 15, eighth grader Tate Grossman added 14 off of the bench. The Hornets end their season at 2-18 overall. Warwick improves to 8-12 overall.
Four Winds/Minnewuakan 56 Benson County 40 (semifinal)
The Indians are going for their seventh consecutive District 7 title on Monday night as they defeat the Wildcats by 16 points.
New Rockford/Sheyenne 79 Dakota Prairie 64 (semifinal)
The first half featured nine ties, but the second half was completely different, as the Rockets outscored the Knights 44-33 to secure the victory and move into the championship game with FWM, a rematch of last years championship game. Senior and four-year starter Teddy Allmaras led the Rockets with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Bo Belquist added 16 and Hunter Thompson had 12. NRS was 17 of 19 at the charity stripe as well. DP was led by Senior Dayton Miles 17 points. Bryce Trenda fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter with 16 points, he also hit a buzzer beating bank 3-pointer from about 70 feet to end the first quarter.

4pm – Warwick vs. Benson County (Region 4 qualifier)
530pm – Lakota vs. Dakota Prairie (Region 4 qualifier)
7pm – Four Winds/Minn. vs. New Rockford/Shey. (championship)
The Dakota Prairie game along with the New Rockford/Sheyenne game will both be broadcast on AM 1600/FM 100.1 KDAK the Cardinal and newsdakota.com starting about 5:15pm pregame on Monday.
