VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The director of the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education gave a presentation to three area school boards on Wednesday, February 20th at the Sheyenne Valley Area Career Technology Center in Valley City.
Wayde Sick told school board members he is watching House Bill 1019 the appropriations funding that supports Career and Technical Education in the state. He said there is more optimism during this legislative session when it comes to funding compared to two years ago.
Sick stressed the importance of Career and Technical Education and how it benefits students seeking a career with a high paying job. The school boards from Barnes County North, Maple Valley and Valley City Public Schools attended the presentation and toured the facility before breaking down to conduct their regular board meetings.
