JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Park Board is currently seeking volunteer campground hosts for both Lakeside Campground and Parkhurst for this summer.
Hosts would get a free campsite in exchange for monitoring and helping campers on the weekends. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and will need to be available May 1st through September 30th.
“Hosts will provide information to campers, check and assist with campsite registrations, sell firewood, monitor restrooms/shower houses and garbage containers,” the county states. “This position includes a camping site with electric and water hook-ups.”
The change comes after Mike Kesler decided not to renew his lease on Lakeside Marina and the campground. The board is also advertising the marina building, seeking vendors to operate business there this summer.
