N.D.(NewsDakota.com)…The 2011 State Amateur Baseball Tournament will get underway on Wednesday at Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown. Single “A”, Double “A”, and Triple “A” champions will be crowned.

The Tourney will open on Wednesday with a couple of Single “A” games, as Jamestown Knights of Columbus Greyhounds will battle F-M Metros at 5:30 p.m., followed by Tolna versus F-M Spartans at 7: p.m..

Thursday, Central Plains Coyotes will battle Tolna at 5:30 p.m., and the second game of the day will have F-M Spartans against Central Plains Coyotes at 7.

Friday, Beulah-Hazen tangles with F-M Metros at 5:30 p.m., and Jamestown Greyhounds will hook up with Beulah-Hazen at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Double “A” Division swings into action, as Enderlin and  Fairmount will get things going at 10:00 a.m., followed by Jamestown Silver Bullets against Kindred at Noon. The 2:00 p.m., game will have Valley City playing Fairview. At 4:00 p.m., Thompson will rumble with Groton, South Dakota.

Semi-final round games will be played Saturday night at 6:00, and 8:00 p.m.. Sunday, the Single “A” title game will be played at 1:00 p.m., and the Double “A” championship game is set for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Triple “A” Division will start on Friday, August 12th.
