MANDAN, N.D. (PrairiePublic) – A 16 year old juvenile male was been arrested after a 27 year old woman was shot in the back late Sunday night.

Mandan Police were called to the 200 block of Third Avenue East in Mandan about 9:40 last night after a report of females yelling obscenities. A short time later, officers received a report of gunshots in that same area. En route, officers were stopped by two people who reported a shooting.

The woman was taken to a Bismarck hospital with reports of non-life threatening injuries.

The 16 year old male is in custody at the Youth Correctional Center in Mandan.
