JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission will be looking for public input regarding a potential plan to vacate the section line in St. Paul and Peterson Township.
The commission discussed the item during their Tuesday meeting. County Auditor Nicole Meland informed the commission that there would need to be some way the residents in the area were able to get information on the proposed project.
Meland says if the commission approved a public hearing, residents who own land within a mile of the area would be notified. Commissioner Dave Schwartz says right now, the section line just leads into water.
Meland says some lots would be affected if the section line was vacated. She says they will advertise the open house for 30 days. The commission voted to advertise the open house for residents of St. Paul and Peterson Township.
