JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Jamestown will consider modifying the collection schedule from 5 days of pickup to just 4 starting in 2019.

During the City Public Works Committee meeting Tuesday, routes for alley to curbside collection were considered. Ralph Friebel with Recycle North Dakota stated that they would also like to move to a 4 day collection schedule.

Friebel says it alleviates the strain on staff, provides opportunity for maintenance and training, and more. Sanitation Foreman Roger Mayhew echoed Friebel’s request.

The committee approved the request. The city staff will determine when the change in collection scheduling will begin. The committee also approved the alleyway to curbside collection plan.
