JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County 4-H club will be hosting a Consumer Decision Making course open to any area 4-H group wanting to participate.
The NDSU Extension Service of Stutsman County reports that the course is a learning event that teaches consumerism and confidence. 4-H Coordinator Robin Barnes says the first time course will encourage participants to use their own decision making skills and explain their choices.
The hands-on visual contest will ask practical questions that can then be answered and decided on to find the best solution given.
“Every day you make decisions,” Barnes pointed out. “It might be what you are going to eat, what you are going to wear, or what to buy. Consumer Decision Making teaches you how to make decisions based on information that you have learned and studied and on facts that you have collected. It can also help you learn to defend your decisions.”
Barnes says from there, the team needs to give their reasoning for the decision they made.
The course is set for December 8th in Jamestown. There will be different classes for participants. Contact Robin Barnes at 701-252-9030 for more information.
