WOODWORTH, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Program awarded loans to two cities and two water districts in October.

Stutsman Rural Water District received $800,000 that will go towards the installation of 46 miles of pipeline from the Woodworth storage tank to Pettibone and Lake Williams, providing water to residents in those communities.

Other projects receiving funding included Lisbon and the All Seasons Water Users District.

The DWSRF Program is administered by the North Dakota Department of Health with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The program offers below-market interest rate loans to political subdivisions for financing projects authorized under the Safe Drinking Water Act. DWSRF programs operate nationwide to provide the funding necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects and supplies vital water resources.
