JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Orphan Grain Train (OGT) is continuing their mission of sending donated food, clothing, medical and other needs around the world.

The North Dakota Branch in Jamestown reports in their newsletter that a shipment was sent to Latin America Lutheran Missions (LALM) in Laredo, Texas.

“It was a coordinated effort between our branch and the Wisconsin Branch,” OGT Jamestown reports. “Among the items sent were medical equipment, medical supplies, toys, and suitcases.”

Tom Boerger of Concordia Lutheran Church and volunteer Kirk Rosin met with the Brakebush truck in Milbank, SD where the majority of medical supplies were collected. A crew helped move items out of a recently closed medical clinic into a storage facility until a shipment could be arranged.

The next shipment was sent in October to McLaughlin, SD in the Stand Rock Indian Reservation.

“There is a small, but mighty congregation down there doing outreach in the community,” OGT reports.

The coordinated effort between OGT and Jonathan and Mary Anderson of Bismarck brought in men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes, school kits, Christian literature, and baby items.
