ALFRED, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farm Rescue has helped another farm family. This time, it was a farmer in North Dakota.

Neil & Debra Schott farm soybeans and wheat near Alfred in LaMoure County. Recently, Neil underwent heart bypass surgery and was unable to perform necessary work during his recovery.

Schott says weather also caused a hindrance on the harvest. He says Farm Rescue brought out a combine and a semi and worked on the field for a few hours on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Schott says the volunteers worked right alongside everyone else to help with the harvest. He encourages anyone who needs farming, harvesting, or haying assistance to reach out to Farm Rescue.

Farm Rescue has helped nearly 600 families since its inception in 2006. Farm and ranch families have been helped in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, and Iowa.
