MAYVILLE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2018 Class B 9-man football playoffs start across the state on Saturday, a total of 24 teams will have a chance to make this years Dakota Bowl at the FargoDome on November 9th. 16 teams will play tomorrow, while eight teams have first round byes. Lamoure/Litchville-Marion and Larimore will be two of the 16 teams in action on Saturday against each other. The Loboes of Lamoure/Litchville-Marion (Region 3 No. 4 seed) will make their way to the playoffs for the first time since 2015, when they lost in the second round to Bismarck Shiloh. The Polar Bears of Larimore (Region 2 No. 2 seed) will make their first playoff appearance since 2016, when they were in Class A and lost to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm in the quarterfinal.

The Loboes vs. Polar Bears game was originally scheduled to be in Larimore, but due to heavy snow and poor field conditions in Larimore from a storm earlier in the week, the contest will be played at Jerome Berg Field on the campus of Mayville State University at 12pm on Saturday. Radio coverage of the game can be heard on Q101.1 FM and newsdakota.com, starting about 11:25am pregame, with a noon kickoff.

Both teams are 4-4 overall, LLM is 3-3 in R3 play, Larimore is 4-1 in R2 play. There will be another first round 9-man playoff game played right after the Loboes game, May-Port-CG will take on Cavalier at 3pm at Jerome Berg Field. Click below for an updated 9-man bracket:
