DEVILS LAKE, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com) In the first annual Devils Lake Grahams Island Cross Country Invitational meet on Saturday, September 15th, Jamestown placed first in the boys varsity and Rugby placed first in the girls varsity. For the boys, Stanley’s Noah Rolfe finished first with a time of 17:39.77. For the girls, Jamestown’s Meghan Ford finished in first place with a time of 18:35.90.

Jamestown had five runners place in the top 10, including Chandlar Rott, Ben Anteau, Gavin Haut, Jacob Anteau and Kade Schumacher.

The Carrington Cardinals finished in 9th place in the girls division, and seventh in the boys. In the 5k run for the varsity boys, Carrington’s Payton Smith finished in sixth place with a time of 18:07.66. In the 5k run for the girls, Baylee Lura of Carrington finished in 13th place with a time of 22:13.80.

Next up for Jamestown will be Saturday, September 22nd  in Jamestown for the Blue/White Invite at Parkhurst recreational area.

Next up for Carrington Cross Country will be Saturday, September 22nd in Valley City at the Bjornson Golf Course at 11am.
