VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce received a call from a person who identified himself as Mike and asked if he could send them free magnets with non-emergency contact numbers to chamber members.

Chamber spokeswoman Kaye Vinje said we declined the offer and asked to be taken off of their calling list. But, later a few of chamber members said the man contacted them claiming he was working on advertisement for Chamber members in Valley City.

Vinje said, if you are contacted by this caller, decline any offer from him. This man is by not affiliated with the Valley City Area Chamber. If you receive a call like this with a similar story please be on alert.
