LISBON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Oakes High volleyball team won their second straight match in as many nights, this time going on the road and holding down Lisbon by a three sets to none score.
The Tornadoes (2-0) won by margins of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-22. Nicole Schmitz registered a team high 18 kills, while Jaida Seyer picked up three aces; all of which came in the second set.
Lisbon plays their first Region I contest of the year at home Thursday, as they welcome Fargo Oak Grove. Oakes has the rest of the week off, and will next head to Gwinner to meet Milnor/North Sargent on Tuesday, September 4.
