“Ben comes from a strong golf program at Valley City High School,” says VCSU men’s golf coach Nathan Stover.  “He has had some great competitive golf experiences with the Hi-Liners which should lead to an easy transition to the college game.  He has the capability to come in and make an immediate impact on our team.  I am so pleased to have Ben join our program.”

Ben is the Son of Tim and Shonagh Sorenson, both VCSU alumni.  He will be the 3rd Sorenson in the family to compete on the VCSU golf team.  His older brother, Matt, is currently a junior on the team and his father, Tim, golfed for VCSU then coached by the late Bill Osmon.

Sorenson will join the Vikings in the fall of 2012.
