BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hunters will be able to take out their bows next Friday to participate in the archery deer season.

The season starts August 31st at Noon and runs through January 6th, 2019. North Dakota Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says if hunters purchase their tag online, they’ll need to be sure they have it in possession before heading out.

For all regulations, proclamations and more information, you’re encouraged to visit gf.nd.gov.

Leier says right now, hunters are enjoying the early Canada goose season. He says one thing to keep in mind is staying off wet side roads.

Leier also encourages anglers to keep fishing and practicing correct catch and release rules while doing so.

You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:20 AM on Big Dog 95.5 FM with JD in the Morning.
