VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Barnes County man was sentenced to serve one year and six months with the Department of Corrections following a hearing on Monday, August 13th.

Brady Duane Jorrisen was charged with a Class C Felony for Promoting Obsenity to a Minor and a misdemeanor charge of sexual contact with an 8 year-old girl stemming from an incident on November 22nd of 2016.

Southeast District Court Judge Mark Blumer issued a 5 year prison sentence with most of it suspended except for 18 months. Jorissen will be on probation for 2 years following his release. He’ll start his prison sentence on November 30th.
