N.D.- The road work through the main north-south artery in Oakes is a bit of ahead of schedule.

That’s the word from Moore Engineering, as they say significant progress has already been made on North Dakota Highway 1. Moore Engineering spokesman Brent Slotto says there are currently three crews on scene, two working on pipe work with replacing the storm and sanitary sewer lines as well as the water main, and the other crew working on the street side of things.

Slotto says the original completion date for the project was October 15, and says he wouldn’t be surprised if the project was done by mid-September weather permitting.
