CITY (NewsDakota.com)–After some solid golf by the Viking mens’ team, they ran into rough seas in Moorhead Monday.
The Vikings finished fourth out of five teams at their spring invitational, shooting a team 690. They finished ahead of Miles Community College, who did not field a complete team.
Ryan LeNoue (So., Barnesville, MN) was the top finisher for the Vikings, scoring a two-day 166. Ryan Mehus (Sr., Finley, ND) finished tied for tenth with a 168.
The meet was split between nine holes Sunday and 27 holes Monday. Concordia College won the meet with a 618. Coy Papachek (Fr., Fargo, ND) and Tyler Koivisto (Fr., Cokato, MN) finished tied for the medalist honors with 155s.
Jamestown College was second and Dickinson State was third.
The next action for the Vikings will be this Sunday and Monday at the NAIA national qualifier in Prescott, AZ.
