(NewsDakota.com) – Six candidates are running for three Jamestown City Council seats up for election in June.

Incumbent Charlie Kourajian is seeking re-election. Pat Nygaard and Ken Schulz are not seeking re-election.

New faces running are Jodie Mjoen, Jacqueline Dotzenrod, Dan Buchanan, Samuel Upton and Steve Brubakken.

Two candidates have filed petitions to run for the Jamestown Parks Board of Commissioners. Mark Ukestad is seeking re-election. Ron Olson is also running. Wade Spitzer is not seeking re-election.

The Jamestown City Council seats and Park Board Commission seats will be decided during the June 12 statewide primary election.
