VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Valley City man was killed after he failed to negotiate a curve on County Road 20 Saturday evening.

The State Highway Patrol reports that a pickup driven by 67 year-old Kim Foell was traveling westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of County Road 17.

The pickup vaulted over the road and landed in a field just west of the intersection where it rolled. Foell was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
