SPIRITWOOD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In 2016 during a Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA) board meeting, it was learned that several business had been inquiring about potentially locating inside the park.
Companies included a Biomass Refinery and an Agriculture Bio-processing Facility. One of the more intriguing possible companies looking into the energy park was a surgical glove company.
At that meeting in 2016, Project Manager Rich Garmin stated why Preventive Care, Inc. was interested.
Last week, the company informed the JSDC that they had narrowed their new location to two areas with Spiritwood on the list. They’ve been looking to relocate from their current base in Malaysia.
According to their company site, Preventive Care, Inc. is “primarily in the business of managed manufacture, sales & distribution of medical & professional glove products.”
While no decision has been made or timeline established, the new operation would need around $18 million in equipment and create 74 jobs.
